Selling a rare vintage Calato (yes the Regal Tip company) bass drum pedal. I believe this one is an early one due to the strap drive, rather than the chain drive the later ones had on the spring mechanism. So, I'd place it late 70's?

Nearly all original condition. I do have the original footboard strap as shown in the pictures and will include it, but it is currently fitted with a new leather strap, since the original was cracking and looked like it was ready to break. I'd only use the original strap if you were just going to display the pedal in a collection, but I'd use the new strap if you were going to actually play the pedal. The original hoop clamp is long missing and was replaced by some modified generic import clamp as shown in the pics. It doesn't work that well, so I've since replaced it with a DW 5000 pedal hoop clamp, which does work much better than the one in the pics.

No issues with the bearings or pivot points. Works very smoothly and has fast action.
