Are these suitable as replacement screws for Ludwig Bowtie Lugs?
need them for a 6-ply wood shell, originals are 15mm long
I am not too sure about US Screw "formats" ... thanks!

Do you mean "machine" screws? If so, yes, you just have to find the correct diameter and thread pitch.

Well, I actually did mean "screws that i can use to fit the Bowtie lugs to the shell". I cannot use regular screws that i can buy in Germany because the "sizes/formats" are different..... the length of the screws seems to be right (5/8"=15,..cm).
i read somewhere that 8-32 is the right format?!?!

I have an Acrolite with the bowties. I'll try to pull one off and see what screw it requires and let you know. 8-32 sounds about right, but I'm not sure. My wife and I are taking our daughter to the theatre in a few minutes, so I'll try to get back to you tonight or tomorrow.
The screws are hex headed one threads are 8/32 not sure what thread size that is in metric threads. The Ludwig screws are 5/8" long oh the hex head part of the is 1/4" wrench size.If you need these screws i have them. How many do you need? Shipping to you is no problem iam in the U.S....It will take me a week before i could ship them to you..P/M me if you like....Mikey

Thanks, i guess i'm fine now with Mikey's help!
Good deal! Mikey is right about it being 8-32 threads and 1/4" wrench for the hex head...I checked mine last night. I was thinking you'd probably need longer screws than mine, since my drum is an Acrolite and you have a wood shell, but there are bell-type washers (don't know the technical term for them) that create more space between the shell and head of the screw (I guess technically it's a bolt).
Anyway, I'm glad Mikey's going to help you out!

SlingerLynn, The washers are called "cup wahers" only used on metal shells. The wood shell snare take the same washers as you would fine on toms or bass drums....Mikey
