The thing about marking time ...

My family hails from a small city in Sicily at the foot of Mt Etna, interestingly enough called Nicolosi. I'm second generation American. My grandfather came here from Nicolosi and use to pass on stories and wisdom prior to his passing. One that has stuck with me ... "we all go whether we are prepared or not. Some make plans, some don't. Others speed it along by choices they make. Always guard your words and your actions lest you speed your own inevitable end."

I miss him. He was a very wise man. There is strength in family.

Damn, you made our spoof thread all solemn and stuff...

All valid points and such. Moreover though, a little levity is one of the things which really makes our time worthwhile. It would seem also that some could serve themselves better relaxing their "offense mode."

I have to leave, I'm tone deaf...

What your gran pappy said is true. Though this was not the intent of the thread, I'll bite. I have had a few things come along that could've meant the end of me. Life is so precious and fleeting. One would think I wouldn't do silly things like ride a motorcycle. In fact- the opposite is true: I ride motorcycles, say what I would have NEVER said before this all happened. You may never get the chance to do it again.

It seems also that some people could serve community forums better by sticking to subjects of which said forums were started, rather than waste their time and server space with mindless verbage. Examples are posted below for reference.

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....

I think the watch will always stay home in it's winder box at gig time.

Never wore rings whilst playing, either. My fingers swell too much when I play.
