Here's a question posted on the auction ...
Quote:
Q: Sizes, please. Thank you.
A: Snare: 5x14 Kick: 14x20 Floor Tom: 16x16 Rack Tom: 8x12 As you will also notice from the photos on the website, the snare drum has the Zoomatic snare system which was only available on the "artist series" drums made during that time.

That pretty much sums it up right there. Venturing out sans the clue.

While checking out those pics of the kit I noticed the snares and the way they were installed. Would that be the way they were intended to be? I am thinking of going with some puresounds for a Leedy that I have with the same throw and butt. Nice kit
lucky!...
That is CORRECT on the snare attachment for the "Artist" series snare drums: Extended butt with metal strap, snare cord to the Zoomatic. I have a near MINT 1968 Slingerland Buddy Rich "Artist" in the BR snare drum collection, and it has it's original wires, still in perfect condition. I'll attach a pic of the snare side detail. ENJOY!!

Well, Jim Petty's friend said they were worth around $12,000.00, so it sounds like a bargain to me. One question though... well two really; if it has only been played 'once', why would the heads have needed replacing, AND, if the heads have been replaced, and the kit's just sat in the corner since, why would you possibly want to replace them again...? Does look nice though, but yikes.
