Vinny, The good news is that i have both sides of the strainers in chrome.The bad new these parts are only the shell's of the strainers both are missing the knobs,springs and handle....What do you want to trade for if any thing?..Mikey

Well, Bunny...It takes a VDF communitty to actually help the non-naturals to get a grip in the intrincate laberynths of language...but like you said it really reminds me a clamp...Maybe I didnt want to use the clam word because in Chile (my country) we use "clam" as a very rude expression!
