Re: the 1930s BB...is it a 12 pt. floral engraing, 2 pc. shell, Artgold hardware...or is it the 1 pc. shell, simple floral parallelogram Ludwig as they call it with the later Classic Gold finish?...There's a big money difference here so photos will help too...

Mike,The B/B is the 1pc shell with the simple floral pattern.Hardwear is the Classic Gold finish.Drum has no mod's and does not have any re-placed parts it still has the heads that came on it.When i got the drum 20 years ago it came with the case and stand.Drum looks like it was played very little or if not played at all..Mikey

I wouldn't do the deal. I think the snares are worth more, plus they take up less room and would be easier to ship.

I'm with mlvibes, especially the BB being in such excellent condition.

Kev, I think i may not do the deal but i will still go loook at the set this weekend..I look at this deal two ways what i have in both of the snares and thats not much 250.00 in both drums..But on the other hand the condition of the set i know the B/B is a rare drum to come by in the size i have and the S/L radio king show's up from time to time. Also that is true about the Rogers set I have only have come across that finish on 4 set's...So i guess iam still up in the air on this deal...Mikey

Id take a bank loan out or sell 4 of my drum kits to get that WWR kit. LOVE that finish AND those sizes!

Keep the snare drums and buy my WRR's lol. I would also check the tom mount on the inside of the top, as I have never seen a Londoner in WRR. B&B lugs were fazed out around 365xx. Serials below this would require a look behind the lugs as both type lugs were use between 345xx and 365xx. As to the trade? I'll bet theres far more B/B snares than WRR ones.

I agree about the more plentiful availability of those snare drums vs complete Rogers drum sets in the Wine Red Ripple. Condition of the wrap would be my main concern.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.
