Help me pick out a cool store front name.

Then line up a firing squad and shoot me for even thinking about

going into real business. :)

I think the firing squad would actually be for asking people on this forum for a drum shop name. :O :D [/snarky comments]

What kind of shop would it be? That would help determine a more accurate name. Mom and pop shop? Used gear? Vintage gear?

Hmm...You're in Portland, huh? Oregon? What part of town would your shop be located at?

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

I knew this would be a great topic!

Hey Caddy, yeah I'm in Portland OR. If memory serves, I saw that you were

in Bend maybe?

It would be mostly vintage gear with the occasional new piece or what have you.

This is probably really more of a rant thing than anything else as that

I'm not really a business minded guy and my motivation pretty much

stems from some recent local drum buys. Mainly just out right price

gouging and not even from a crappy GC where you just expect to

pay a higher price for items rather than just going to ebay or VDF

and getting a fair price, you just want the item NOW so sometimes

a guy goes and pays a little more at a local store.

I would love to be a local store that offers a great price or deal

on a trade so guys don't have to wait for that thing they want

so dearly or what have you. :whine

I know there's over head and all sorts of stuff.

I also realize that lots of vintage stuff just has to come from out

of your local area and there's no choice in the matter when you

need that rare part or even just a bucket of bow tie lugs or whatever.

This is why I love VDF! Without VDF dudes would be scrambling

all over the internet trying to get parts for their projects etc.

But they can just come here and put the feelers out! :)

Also for local guys reading this thread, there are some great shops

here in town but they are all on the East side, and they probably

have the market cornered.

I thought of another name though - Whineys Drums :whine
