Vintage Ludwig kit...A little help please!.. Last viewed: 6 hours ago

hello every one!

am new to this forum and this is my first post. And the reason for my posting is that ive got a ludwig kit that i am interested in selling but ive no idea as to what type, in what year it was made or the value of it. from the research ive done all i can find out is that the kit itself was most likely made in the late 1970s due to the type of badge but i cant be 100% sure on this. So any information you guys can give me regarding the age, the name of the kit and value would be very much appreciated indeed!..some photos included of the kit in question..

Hey........rounded, all around the blue/olive badges started in 1979. You can start at 1979, work your way up by checking the serial numbers. Use the guide that is provided in this forum. It is the bible!Chewie:

B/O badges started in 1969. The ROUNDED B/O badges started in 1979, which is clearly what we have here.

I think they could have been around slightly earlier.. late 70s is about as close as you will get for the introduction of 6 ply, rounded B/O badges. I think the Modular mounts came after 1980 though?A cursory glance at that catalog page shows them coming in in '82 but not sure how accurate that is! Everyone knows catalogs are not accurate to more than the nearest year or two!
