The first thing I can say about your set is that it has what's called "concert

toms" these are without a bottom rim/hoop or lugs. Look further into the

wrap, because I think I saw either a woodgrain butcherblock or a stained

shell beneath the Rogers script. Many Rogers fans seem to belittle these

sets that have concert toms, but they are still worth restoring and of

course, playing them. Do more detective work on these and let us know

what you find.

If you could help me find some info out it would be appreciated. Im having trouble finding somewhere to submit my serial numbers to find out more about these drums.

There's plenty of help right here on this forum for zeroing in on the dates for your drums.

Fire away with those serial numbers, and someone will be by to get you sorted out.

The two concert toms dont have tags inside them like the others.

Im pretty sure they were bought seperate since they have the price tags still hanging on them. They just say Rogers Concert Toms 159$/w Stand on each one.

The two concert toms that are on their own stand do have like a wood tone finish inside. The other ones which is part of the main set are a grey finish.

The two large toms are not Rogers. They are recent Made in Japan or Taiwan - see the lugs. And they've been painted. Your picture of the other toms is too far away to see the lugs clearly but look like original Rogers.

It looks like the (Rogers) drums may not be painted, but hard to tell without a closeup. You need better pictures to find out much more. Picture of the tags inside the drums - would guess speckled interior with 72 tags? Closeups pics too. Take a lug off one of the Rogers toms to check the original color.

I concur on the 2 larger toms, they are NOT original Rogers, they are Pearl built drums, from the late 70s forward. Doesn't mean they don't sound OK, but they are not worth anything. The rest, if all Rogers and a matched set, could be worth a few dollars, but don't let some high-roller collectors' site fill your eyes with lottery winnings. The snare is worth as much as all the others put together, IMO, but then I am not the Rogers guy.

Put them in our "For Sale" section and let 'em ride. Someone would like to have them, I'm sure. Since they have not had a deep cleaning/detailing, that will have an effect your final sales price, and since you are not a drummer, the long hours it would take likely would not be beneficial to you in the long run. Detailing a kit takes HOURS and is tedious work for the uninitiated.

No clue what a lug is?
