Acrolite Vintage Last viewed: 3 hours ago

Thanks guys. Not growing up in USA, I didn't know much about these snares. I suppose if I had grown up the states I would have a 70s Student Acrolite in it's original case under my bed. After much research, I am inspired by all the great Acrolite and Supraphonic info and stories on the internet. I have fallin in love with them. They look beautiful and like most of us, I did in fact grow up listening to them on all the classic rock music I grew up with on vinyl and radio: The Beatles, Led Zep, Hal Blaine, Steve Gadd. I can't really make up my mind which one is the best for me. I would love to have a 67 Baseball Bat Acrolite. Or a 60s 6.5" Supraphonic. Or a 70s Pointy B/O Badge. It's too hard to pick, so I might get one of each.

Hi everyone. I'm after experienced advice on what to buy. I'm after an Acrolite and a Supraphonic. I keep doing my research and I'm learning lots about these beautiful snares. I'm not sure weather to go for a baseball bat or the round knob muffler. I will be playing them lots. So I do want everything on them to be functional. I have heard that some baseball bats slip.

that's becsuse no maintaince has been performed on them, the basball bat lever can be tighten or loosend to your prefrence! I don't know of a single drum company that put mufflers on drums anymore y for a reason! the old single pad muffler has it's pros and cons.
