I agree with EMD,Any rubbing is going to remove more paint. I have used a auto spary can clear coat to save a duco paint job worked well.

They will have a more modern sound than the Slingrlands you just had, That's naot a bad thing, I've played a few of these kits liked them alot.

Gary they are my favorites atlas stands they are called swivel feet and are from 1976 they only made them that year. and resale very well
