i was able to finish up the 13,14 and most of the bass drum. I still need to re-attach the chrome inlay on the batter head hoop. Wow is this kit gorge...

I tried all sorts of stuff on a cheapo perl forum tom. Shoe polish RIT Dye Coffee grounds wood stain nothing stuck... the only thing I could think of...

I use Gel Gloss to polish up the wrap after a good cleaning.

lol I got it man :) I finally found that Nail Polish remover will take this sticky crap off the chrome! Now Im down to 2 hours a drum for restoration....

I believe all the bottom "rings" are aluminum. At least they're not magnetic and have a very aluminum look to them.

use a manual hand crank drill, less heat and less chance of it skipping across your cymbal.
