One final point. DW DRUMS ARE NOT VINTAGE DRUMS. So why it was even brought up in the first place on this forum is BEYOND me......DOH

I understand that sound is subjective.....and personally I do not like the sound (or price!) of DW drums. I'll stick with my Ludwigs for 1/3 the cost...

The chrome on Supraphonics from the 1960's seem to hold up better than the ones from the 1970's I've noticed.....maybe there was a change in the chrom...
15 years agoludwig bass drum with 2 sets of spurs!!
Ludwig also did it with the large curved spurs on the 16" depth "power" pass drums. More stability. Plain and simple.

I know what you mean....everyone seems to rave about DW....DW this DW that....well, I've heard them and I'm NOT impressed. The snares sound like a tin...
