I had the same wrap issue with a similar vintage Pearl wood fibre kit.. Happened after a morning left in the car... Keep them away from excess heat.....

The wrap on those is called "Naugahyde" lots of Pearl and Maxwin kits with it... Came in around half a dozen colours.. quite a few earlier threads on...

I'd say it's actually 80's... That badge placement was common then..... so was that serial number range Check out (just for example) Big Beat kits......
