A rewrap would be easy to spot. Wrap as original would go into the scarf joint. If the wrap on there now overlaps the seam well there you go...rewrap....

BTW I think Slingerland used the same stud on some 70's cymbals stands. 2 of mine have the same threaded studs on them.
