Hi, I bought my black Yamaha DK 20 on ebay years ago and didn“t find another one like this on net ever after. I think they are no more for sale, maybe only somewhere on stock. Sorry not to help you. Do you also collect drum keys?

    Hi Gary,
Started taking lessons in 1969 till mid 1d980's. Got my first "real" set in 1980. Got into vintage drums in early 90's. Did my first Chicago show in 96. Been going there every year since.
My collection is mainly slingerland with some ludwig & ludwig, Leedy, George Stone, Barry, No Gretsch I'm afraid. Some of my sets are in Rob Cooks Slingerland book in the center pages, I'm Dave Brown from the UK.
Are you going to be attending the Chicago show this year? If so, lets meet up.
    Dave

hello Mr. paradiddle...haha -just funin here - I got my Kona name from the Ironman in Hawaii. I think our paths have probably crossed here or elsewhere. I don't have much of a 'collection' just a few Gretsch kits, snares and orphaned drums.....I started playing in 1961 - sticks and cardboard boxes....bought my first kit in 65 MIJ - can't recall if they even had a brand name. Bought a RB Gretsch in the summer of 69....Sunset Satin Flame Rock kit - 5pc. I played for a living from 69-mid-76 and my life took a turn....I got out of kit drumming and sold the Gretsch. In my 'old age' I got back into 'kit' drumming and bought my Purewood Gretsch kit in 07 and my first Gretsch vintage kit in 09......from 09. That kit in 09 got me started with all this vintage drum stuff.....= my life has gone downhill ever since. Kidding of course - it's a fantastic hobby in my retirement years. How about you? Gary
