Absolutely stunning! Congrats on acquiring such a museum piece. I'd be afraid to gig it.
Question regarding the spurs. I just sold a 1959 transition badge 20", but it had telescoping spurs, not the foldout spurs on your bass. Which spurs were standard? Were the foldout spurs offered on the higher-end models and telescoping on the lower budget models? My bass originally had nickel hardware and lugs so I'm guessing my bass must have been a budget model. Just curious. Mike

Agree with above.
And remember this was a "transitional" time for Ludwig so it was really anything goes in the factory. And you could probably order the drums with what you would like just like now. Thanks for all the comments. This kit SINGS! ![]() |

I agree they sing. Your kit is virtually identical to my WMP set except for the wrap color and floor tom legs and hardware. By 1962 the tom legs and hardware had changed. Your floor tom legs look like the earlier WFL legs.
