So nice. Such a piece of history. The others manufacturers had some nice offerings with snare drums that had much more complicated mechanisms, but Joe Thompson's was very simple and very effective. It must have seemed quite revolutionary. And the names Ben Strauss came up with were so cool and contemporary. Dynasonic and Swivomatic (not so sure about Knobby

Thanks for all the comments. I remember buying this about 10-15 years ago. Just couldn’t pass up that flat sided dyna from a time when Rogers was first taking off. They weren’t even making their own metal shells when this drum was made.
