Default Rogers Brook Mays Snare

I've owned a couple of Rogers Brook Mays kits, but this is my first snare. The BM drums had the authentic beavertail lugs and were 6ply maple shells. This also looks to be a maple shell, although the lugs are definitely not anything related to Rogers. It looks like it's bran new and it's well built.
I also picked up this pre-serial number Ludwig Pioneer from Tpayne105. He gave me a terrific deal for both.

That Rogers snare has the same lugs as the "Thoroughbred Music" house brand "Tamco" drums did. Must have been generic MIT drums.

Ya, the Brook Mays Rogers were made overseas. I'm not sure why they used these lugs and not Rogers snare lugs. But, it's well built and it sounds pretty much like any 6.5x14 high end maple snare.

Exactly the point, JR! It sounds like any other 6.5x14 maple snare, because that's all it is. Except for the "Rogers" logo, there's nothing "Rogers" about this drum.

I never said it was a "Rogers", just a good quality maple snare I happened to get along with the Pioneer at a price I couldn't refuse.
