I am trying to find an approximate date and any other relevant info for a Dynasonic snare drum I have. The strainer has the Rogers logo spelled out with a big "R", and the serial number is 45508. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Ben...
If the Dynasonic in question is the one in the picture you supplied... ( and I'm assuming it is! )... the serial number of #45508 dates it in 1970 which would make it a Fullerton, CA manufactured drum. Otherwise the basic Dynasonic design remained unchanged, although the hardware on these aren't quite as heavy as the Covington, OH manufactured drums... primarily the lugs and hoops. This was CBS... ( who now owned Rogers )... attempt at saving some manufacturing costs. Still,
It is a 5 line Dynasonic, and while they certainly are ubiquitous, they are excellent playing/sounding drums when set up correctly!
