Thinking about buying this kit but it is obvious that the bass drum is a converted bass drum. The seller is saying that wrap is original and that the drums are from the 60's. The price is right but it seems like a re-wrap. If not, at least I would get a supra, 14x14 and 8x12 in great shape. Advice please.
Ludwig help please
probably have to see what the shells are to decide the rough year.
looks like the grommets are not right on the badges.
looks like a rewrap to me.
the bass looks like a converted 18" floor tom.
Just my 2 cents.
but looks like a nice players set and a baseball bat muffler supra.

I'd be shocked if that was the original wrap. Looks way too white. But if the price is cheap go for it.
^^^ yes on the money. No expert here but they do look rewrapped to me also. Pics of the bass inside will show any plugs/filled holes and easy to tell if it was a floor tom before. Grommets look newish. You can always find a 20-22 bass and make the 18 a floor tom. I dig the big drums. Or keep and play as intended as they are.
Not a guru just havin fun with some old dusty drums.

I passed. They wanted $599 and the snare looked good but it is a re-wrap and I can't even verify that the drums shells were ludwig.
This is a re wrap for 100% sure also the bass drum surely isn't 60's but the snare drum is worth the price alone if it's a 60's 402

So...will the seller now convey the truth or is he/she sticking by their story? This is more troubling if the seller is a music/drum shop.
