Default Interviews of Mike Curotto,Harry Cangany,Bun E Carlos etc...

Hello to the vintage drum forum !
My name is Jim Messina and I have been a vintage drum enthusiast for the past 13 years. In the last several years I have had the honor of interviewing many of the worlds top vintage drum collectors. All these interviews are in video format, many taking place at The Chicago Drum Show over the years.
Some of the interviews generate from a studio setting in a radio station in the form of a phone conversation that is recorded through the studio board and on video.I've had fascinating conversations with Harry Cangany in a six part series, also several segments with Mark Cooper of Coopers Vintage Drums.
Mike Curotto talked with me about his restoration of the 14th Slingerland Black Beauty that I discovered earlier this year.
Others include the notable English collector Dave Brown, and of course the one and only veteran mega collector "Bun E Carlos".Also ,Joe Luoma,Chuck Scalia,Dave Zima and Dave Anfuso with his "remarkable" Slingerland display of advertising memorabilia from the actual photography studio that the company used! And there are many more.
These along with many other vintage drum videos can be seen on VINTAGEDRUMSTALK.COM and on my YouTube channel at (GUMPH 1234 ).
It has been a priviege for me to have had these respected and successful
figures in the vintage drum community agree to share they're time ,knowledge,AND collections with me(a virtual nobody) who shares the same passion and enthusiasm for vintage drums and the history that accompanies them.
I look forward to the many future conversations to come and will continue to pass them along for all of us in the world of vintage drums to appreciate.

Loved your work with Kenny Loggins.
It's great to have you here. Looking forward to seeing all that you bring to the table. Excellent buncha guys you've sat down and chewed the fat with. Wow. Neato stuff.

Gobs of snares... if you don't already have some, get some Acrolites.

I have no drums made in this century, and I'm quite pleased about that...

to VDF!

Been reading and hearing your name mentioned for years. I've seen the Interviews on You Tube, great stuff. Good to have you posting here. Your knowledge of vintage drums will be a tremendous asset here at VDF.

Looking forward to hearing more from you in the future.

John
