Default Avocado Flame or Moonglow Satin Flame Wrap

Guys.....would anyone know if wrap color called "Avocado Flame" or "Moonglow Satin" or something close to it is available from any of the wrap manufacturers?

Thanks!

I own a Salmon Satin Flame set of mid 60's Walberg & Auge drums. This color is also known as Sunset Satin Flame by other drum makers (I think Gretsch). The two colors you ask about and mine do not exist any more. Rowlux makes some colors of Satin Flame that are similar, but not nearly the same.

The closest you might find to Moonglow would be Peacock Satin Flame from Precision Drum Company in New York.

Thanks....but the Peackock really doesnt look at all like the Old Avocado/Moonglow Satin Flame...there is no green in it!!

The Avocado Flame is truly a lost wrap.

I'm confused! I thought you were talking about both Avocado AND Moonglow, which are two separate colors. Are you saying that Moonglow has green in it? I don't believe it does, so please clear up my confusion. I do get confused very easily!

Moonglow Satin Flame reminds me of a pink/red setting sun peeking through dark gray clouds.

Thought it would be good to share this.........
I don't know if this helps here but it's good information from Gretsch historian Harry Cangany.

I was looking for information on a Gretsch finish on a kit I bought new in 69 - long since sold.

This is what Harry sent me - mentioning MoonGlow:

"Gary: in 1969, Gretsch had 4 satin flames--moonglow (a gray and blue), aqua, gold and...sunset. I think, you had sunset. I can't find the physical color to show you, but a real sunset has pink in it."

As I stated above, I have been led to believe that Gretsch used the label of Sunset Satin Flame for the color that others called Salmon Satin Flame.
