Early 1900's drum hardware

Loading...

Hello to all at VDF. I am a newbee. I acquired some very old drum hardware. Does anyone know anything about hardware from 1901-10? I have two bass drum hoop mounted cymbal stand/arms...the kind where the cymbal would hang from a small chain at the end of the arm. One is dated April 1901. I also have what looks to be a solid brass snare stand and solid brass hoop mount cymbal stand. If you might be able to help me drop me a note. Thanks for your help. Jim

Here are a few pics...

here is one of the cymbal mounts, it Isn't hung by a chain but by a leather strap. http://www.vintagedrumguide.com/ludwig_drumsets_1918.html

It is manufactured by Walberg & Auge, they essentially made 80+ percent of all drum Hardware, all the major drum companies used there hardware to some degree. the thumb screws are most definetly W&A.

jawsguitars:

First of all, Welcome

Just wanted to say that if you do decide to sell one of the clamp-on bass mounted cymbal stand/arms I might be interested. I think that it would be a nice complement to my J.W. York & Son bass drum (see pic).

Feel free to drop me a PM if that turns out to be the case.

Thanks!Bowing
