Default Switching lug casings on Ludwigs

Hi again,
First of all, are the Ludwigs with Black/white badge the Rockers line or something more recent? 8 lugs on bass drum, telescope spurs, older flat style bass mounting plate. Sorry, no pic yet.. Are the classic style Ludwig lugs interchangeable with the plain generic ones found on student lines? might do some swapping...

Yes, the large Classic lugs have the same hole spacing as the Standard/Bullet lugs...

If it is a wrapped kit, the footprints are slightly different tho....

Pics, please..

This is only partly true......if the standard/rocker lugs are the smaller ones on the toms, yes they are interchangable with the large classic lugs. The bass drum lugs and some of the lugs used on some of the power toms however, they are a larger pattern than the large classic lugs and will not interchange. They happen to be 2 3/16" pattern, the same as a double ended snare drum lug, but there is no single ended classic lug that used this pattern. So, you'll have to leave them be or redrill the shell (I don't recommend drilling) to make the classic lugs fit.

Sounds like they are either Rocker or Rocker II series drums. Modern Elite series lugs will not swap as they are different bolt up patterns, but SOME classics will. (see my above response)
