15” 2002s
There’s a pair of ‘70s 15” 2002s (not Sound Edge) in good condition at a pawn shop. They’ve been drilled but appear to be in great condition otherwise. They’re asking $200. Fair price or would you go lower?
Wouldn’t be flipping them, just keeping.

Re: 15” 2002s
That's ashamed, I wouldn't pay 200 for them.

Re: 15” 2002s
Do you think the sound is effected or does the drilling just reduce their value?

Re: 15” 2002s
Yes to both questions, In all sincerity what idiot would even do that, If this is a real factory match pair of soundedge hats, the serial numbers are consecutive. Soundedge hihats certainly don't need any help in the volume department.

They’re not Sound Edge, just regular hats. Does that change your feelings?

A little sorry for the confusion. Try to get them cheaper.

Re: 15” 2002s
pass...the drilled cymbal is ruined and has no value other than if you love the sound.

Re: 15” 2002s
Would you guys think $100 is overpaying?
Also, this could get me halfway to a Sound Edge pair. The SE bottoms come up on eBay pretty often, and usually for less than what they’re asking for this set.

Re: 15” 2002s
Certainly go and try these out. The price is about right had the bottom cymbal not been drilled out. Because of it been drilled i honestly wouldnt go over $120. If you wanted drilled out go for zildjian quick beats. There is a 1970's paiste black label 15" set on ebay for same price in original condition. Im pretty good at buying and selling. Go in with $100 cash ask to try em out. Take hi hat stand give em a spin. Get your cash out and say because of drill holes here is $100 take it or leave it. Tell em originally no holes were drilled in these so value has been dramatically reduced. Cheers sean
