Default my Christmas gift to myself

1969 Ludwig BDP Super Classic 13,16,22 with matching 14 floor, all in amazing condition, no date stamps except the 14 floor which looks like 1968, with my snare i already had 1958 classic BDP
Bass-729283, 13"-734239, 16"-733283, 14"-699652. All have keystone badge, no extra holes, (except the 14 has 2 extra filled holes(with BDP on exterior) under each leg bracket , looks to me like a factory screwup where they were drilled for the brackets ,the bottom hole is next to the re ring) ?? ..everything else in excellent near new condition. The 14 looks like maple but darker ( as dark as the mahogany interior of the 1958 snare) than the others. Also all are darker (and not clear coated) than my 1971 big beat.
They sound awesome

Absolutely beautiful! Love Ludwig drums from this time period.

I agree with wflkurt. I believe these were Ludwig's best shells...the wrap was no longer tucked into the scarf joint...no heavy shellac/sealer....A year or two after these, some of the later shells were oversized and the flesh hoops from the heads would scratch the wrap. But the late '68 and '69 shells were exceptional!

Yes shells all nicely in round and no ludwig bump, I haven't measured but I was thinking maybe the 14 was set up for a 16 to drill the leg brackets then they noticed their Monday mistake and corrected it . Idk but doesn't bother me, the 14 sounds beautiful

Seems like BDP has been popular here lately. You sure know how to Christmas shop, very cool!
