Re Wrap Color Choice

Loading...

I'm wrapping an 18X14, 12X8, 14X14, slingerland kit, all with black gold badges. I want them to be an original color choice from the 60's. I was thinking red tiger, which I think is the same as red onyx. Also I was thinking a sparkle.

What color would you wrap it?

Red onyx, red sparkle, or red satin fame would be my choices for a late '60s kit. But like much weirder colours, like neon pink satin flame or pink sparkle, or purple sparkle, or an insanely normal colour like White Marine Pearl.

That's just me.

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

Red Tiger is most definitely not the same as Red Onyx (which Slingerland never made).

If you could narrow down the date frame, we could nail down the majority of the correct finishes available for that particular year or two.

Slingerland made an amazing deep rich Blue Sparkle Pearl in the mid60s that is mind-blowing. It was so dark and warm ... you felt like your hand could sink into it.

It's a 1965 modern combo bass drum with the rectangle bass drum mount, and 1965 stage band single lug 12 and 14 toms.

The 12 is mounted on a rims adaptor.

No extra holes, or mods, and everything is in great shape.

I might be leaning toward the blue sparkle if the red tiger isn't the same as the red onyx.

red ripple pearl would be a top choice, but I don't think they make that any more.
