Default Gretch strainer

I have a 1949 Gretch snare drum that I am working on. The original strainer is shot and I need to replace it. Where do I go to get a replacement. In a previous posting someone informed a 1950's Gretch snare drum owner that his drum was called a "Dixieland" model. Does any one know what my 1949 model is called?

Gretsch did not put out a catalog every year, so you may not be able to find an exact picture of your 1949 drum. Fortunately, Gretsch did not make a lot of changes year to year, so a drum from 1949 may look exactly like one pictured in a catalog from a different year.

If you have your original strainer, you can place a wanted post on the forum and perhaps someone will have an extra. Otherwise, watch eBay or go to a drum show.
