Hello Mark and Thank you bro
I only wish I could find a huge space that was more accessible than my current location Of course I know how lucky I am just in having what I have But I am on the second story stuffed into the back corner of an enormous old manufacturing plant. turned warehouse. And there really is no proper off street access But you just say the word when you are going to be around here and you the get the full free tour any ole' way . I think in the last exchange, you had located a LaBoz in blue diamond pearl. Have you located any more LaBoz sets? |

Dare say I would have been interested in the blue sparkle snare. My first full drum set was a LaBoz in blue sparkle. I like that red marine one too. When I got mine at Lechmere Sales in '67, they only offered red and blue sparkle if I'm recalling correctly. Might have been a third color. It's been too long to be sure. But the attached indicates that overall they had quite a few colors.

Just finished re-assembling this old girl. Star BD thick painted grey shell and 2 unknown toms with clear interior with re-rings.

These are some Tiger's eye pearl "Tempo" not Tempro
(the badges are identical save for the spelling) drums by Pearl they are in great overall condition and very original and as is often the case, came along with no floor tom....grrrrrr!!!! The second pic shows a complete 4 piece Tempro badged kit on display in our now defunct selling place at a local indoor flea market here in Rhode Island it was no sooner that we were allowed to reopen from the statewide covid 19 lockdown that the property owners sold the building forcing the flea market to close permanently these Tempros, while complete with floor tom are not near as nice or as original as the Tempo 3 pc. I forgot about this one! It's a "no-name" 3pc that I found on eBay back in late 2003. The wrap was a very cool looking finish that I called "Rootbeer Strata! I found a nice COS "Norma" snare drum for it, along with the hardware and cymbals pictured. Everything was paid for by a neighbor who loved to drum! He was an older gentleman...and was pretty darn good, too!

I think I may have finally located a set of LaBoz after having sold mine back in the late 70's (my first full set bought in 1967). I attempted to purchase it from Main Mix Music in Terra Haute, Ind. Tough website for checkout, so I've emailed to try to get a better update. Blue marine pearl like one of Kenwood's sets. It will be a place holder until the blue sparkle set shows up.

PS - This shot is from the video on Youtube featuring the Main Mix store opening in 2018. Local TV news. Was it one of you guys that was capturing the PowerTone and 9x13 Holiday? Disguised in case you didn't want anyone to know.
