I've been offered this Premier kit for $250. I think it's an XPK. I dig the finish, just not sure how they sound. Should I jump on it?

What’s with the floor tom? It looks like a giant bongo head is stretched on top? Weird.

$250? I'd have bought it and asked questions later!
A quick look around the web and I found all good reviews and nothing for 250. Heck, it's hard to find any full kit for that price! That one looks clean as well. |

These are APK's. APK's have wrapped Meranti shells, whereas XPK's have Meranti shells with a lacquered birch outer layer. Not pro level, but a decent kit for the money.

They're worth $250, if only for the satin flame finish. I'm not a fan of oversized rack toms though. That's a a rubber muffler over the floor tom head, I think.

I suppose if they're good enough for Pierre van der Linden, I should go ahead and buy it.
