Sonor Performer ID Question
Hi,
i have a Sonor Performer Snare that looks identical to the D456 Performer Snare Drum on this page... http://www.sonormuseum.com/1987/perf...performer.html Im wondering if what i have is this one as i cant see any D456 marking ? And the 6 1/2 inch dimension id confusing me ... is it the exact distance between the snare heads. Thx |

Re: Sonor Performer ID Question
It wont have the marking. The number of lugs, and throw off tell us that. Ten lugs with the same drum, plus a muffler would be a D-506. The 6 1/2 is the drum depth. It`s 14" wide and 6 1/2" deep without the hoops.

Re: Sonor Performer ID Question
Thx Oddball, seems to have eight lugs and an internal muffler that screws in and out.

Re: Sonor Performer ID Question
If the badge has a yellow "swoosh" your snare was from the earlier beech Performer series. If it does not, it is from the later poplar Performer series.
