Default Sonor Performer ID Question
Hi,
i have a Sonor Performer Snare that looks identical to the D456 Performer Snare Drum on this page...

http://www.sonormuseum.com/1987/perf...performer.html

Im wondering if what i have is this one as i cant see any D456 marking ? And the 6 1/2 inch dimension id confusing me ... is it the exact distance between the snare heads.
Thx

It wont have the marking. The number of lugs, and throw off tell us that. Ten lugs with the same drum, plus a muffler would be a D-506. The 6 1/2 is the drum depth. It`s 14" wide and 6 1/2" deep without the hoops.

Thx Oddball, seems to have eight lugs and an internal muffler that screws in and out.

If the badge has a yellow "swoosh" your snare was from the earlier beech Performer series. If it does not, it is from the later poplar Performer series.
