Hi you all,
Got a question that I have been curious to ask for awhile. I am a left handed player and have for the last 45 years playing right handed, I have always wanted a radio king set, but the toms are set up for right handed players. Question, can you turn a bass drum around where the tom sits to the right side, or is this stupid? Thanks for the comments. Bucky |

If it's old enough, and has hoop mounted spurs, yes. Otherwise, through shell spurs, the legs will be on the rear part and won't be supporting the front. But don't let that stop you, I've seen lefties do this.
While we are here, who is the greatest left handed drummer? |

I agree,, I'm looking at a 51, RK, it has brackets that will reverse. Also, I think the best left handed drummer, would be Ian Paice, with Deep Purple...

Rik is correct about turning the bass drum around and having the legs on the back.
If I was playing that kit I would put the ride tom on a stand. And as far as his question goes, I expect he is referring to Ringo.

I turn all my kits around. At first, I didn't like the look of the telescoping spurs on the wrong end of the bass so I added a 2nd pair to one of my Club Date kits. But I have too many to do that to all of them. Now, I'm fine with the weird location......marko

My Rogers Swingtime kit has the mounts centered front to back on the bass, so turning them around leaves the tom & cymbal mounts in the same place....marko

If the tom and cymbal mounts are in functional positions for the lefty drummer, just attach one of these little wonders to the front hoop.
