Default Slingerland COW snare

Decided (for no good reason) to give my Slingerland COW snare some love this weekend. I believe the badge dates it to 1986 which is around the time I got it. Thought I'd share a pic.
peace
Steve

Got a serial number? If '86 expect ~580xxx's.

Nice! As with the majority of Slingerland snare drums with the Rapid strainer, most, like yours, are missing the gum rubber washer between the post and that thin flat washer.

Here's a good picture of the gum rubber washer. I just received this snare drum yesterday and will be doing a complete cleaning and detail soon. What's amazing is that the rubber washer appears brand new! It's still very supple, with no cracking or deterioration. The drum is completely original, down to the heads, snare wires and snare string! It must have spent most of its life in the included case!
