The early ones had the black stamp which is around 1978 then they went to the green ink stamp
|

Thx....did the qlty also change? This one "looks" more like a budget cymbal.

It sorta looked like a 404 until I looked very closely at the hammering. It's got the wider-peen 505 hammering, though.
Interesting cymbal...maybe a tad overpriced, though. |

Cool. Never saw a 505 in small black ink. I have and love an 80's greenie 20 inch crash; super-dry and can be room-clearing, if necessary. A 16 incher of that era; $80 bucks might not be too bad - always better to have an idea of the vintage and sound sig's of bygone cymbals, before you buy. Good luck.

Almost hit the bin but 80 is to much to spend w/o hearing it...maybe 50?
