Another Leedy Returns
Ok, I'm sorry, but I got to tell this story.
I bought this 1965 Leedy kit in a bdp finish about a month ago for $550. I had planned on flipping it and put it on cl. I decided to use it for an upcoming gig, the kit sounded so incredibly delicious and looked so cool on stage I had to re-think my intent to sell. I wasn't getting any bites anyway so I was about to delete my ad when I get a text from a dude wanting to buy at my asking price of $850. I initially thought, no, don't do it! But my compulsive flipping disorder kicked in and I took the cash. After coming to my senses, I desperately tried to get kit back again, I made buyer several trade offers and he was tempted, but ultimately said no. Then out of the blue I had a chance to pick up the Leedy fiesta pearl kit, I sent buyer a picture and he was hooked. I wound up not only getting the bdp back, but $350 on top. The fiesta is rare and cool, but it had some issues, cracks in the wrap, missing rail mount and mufflers and it had a 12,16,20, I'm not into 12" toms. So here she is again, the kit is as clean as a whistle, all original except for the wing screws on the floor tom legs. All drums are dated November, 1965. home sweetie! 9x13, 16x16, 14x20 |

Yes, beautiful kit, and I can't wait to see the beauty it's traded for in two months. I love JR's rotating collection. Mike

Re: Another Leedy Returns
I plan on keeping this one for awhile because it's so clean and sounds great. I'm down to one kit again, but I'm looking for a second to keep the rotation going.
