I play on a set of Standards on Sunday's at an open mic blues jam. Those sets sound great! Great find!

It is amazing how quickly one can get hooked on vintage drums, not to mention the very knowledgeable, kind and often humorous folks that hang out here.

I hope he posts photos of the drums after clean-up. What a great score.

Nice grab man! I have a set of those in that color (gold mist), very nice sounding kit. Good luck with the "deep cleaning" on those babys! You will be a happy dude when you get them finished. Post pics !

Yes indeed...you are hooked. If I am following this correctly, thus far into your vintage drum obsession you have scored the following:

A Ludwig Standard kit with matching snare in really good condition
A Roger's Dynasonic snare in good condition
A Pearl maple shelled kick drum
Some Pearl Export toms
Various Zildjian cymbals

Total investment to feed the obsession: $250.00
Hacking off everyone else in this forum with your crazy good fortune: priceless.

As to the Dynasonic, there are quite a few Rogers experts here that will chime in shortly. Way to go man!
