once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Two grand SHIPPED for everything except the snare drum would not be a bad deal. Let the seller sell the snare drum separately to someone else who likes that type of Rogers snare drum.

I don't like the paint on the paper label.

I am getting old. I saw the paint and it didn't even register because the kit looked pretty good overall.

I paid $1200 delivered from PA to ME for my 20, 12, 14 BDP set a few years back (courtesy of Chris Hawthorne) and all the interiors were painted. Can't even see the labels. Rest of the kit was nice except a bit of loose inlay. Dayton flat grey era at least (if not Cleveland) based on hardware.

If I was a bit more into WMP: With extra 13, snare and hardware - $2000 for local pickup might be reasonable. They are going to sound great if the edges are still intact. But you'd need to see these up front.

What I'm seeing is that cymbal and snare stands, plus the Dynasonic, were purchased quite a bit later. The Swivo hi hat stand and Rocket bass drum pedal are probably original.

Definitely a Headliner outfit, with an extra 9x13 tom thrown in. The asking price is too high, though. I'd be selling the Dyna and cymbal stands separately, along with the 13" tom. Just my take on this.

Yea, you're right mark. Strip off the later stuff and get it down to the WMP Headliner with the 'L' arm and it's probably good for a solid $1500-$1700 if the paint issue inside isn't a big deal. Catalog set, as we say. They must have been stunning before the inevitable fade. Of course, the fade gives it the vintage look.

I pretty much agree with Dan. However, for my taste, the seller can keep the Dynasonic snare and knock $500 off the selling price. Had I ordered that "catalog" set, I would have ordered it with a matching WMP wood shell snare drum that was not a Dynasonic. There were a few different Rogers models from which to select--all of which I prefer to a Dynasonic. I'd even rather play a Luxor than a Dynasonic. And, I was a factory rep for Rogers drums.
