Default Slingerland vs Ludwig, differences in sound?

I have a set of '58 Slingerland Krupas that I think sound fantastic even though I am a beginner. If I were to obtain a set of Ludwigs from the late 50's in the same sizes, use the same heads and tune the same, what would the differences in fundamental sound be if any? I'm getting the itch for a second set already but I don't know whether to look for something different or another set of 50's Slingerlands and put different heads on them for a little different flavor? I don't see how it's gets much better than this set of Krupas but I haven't heard any other vintage sets in person either.
