Check and see if that 1" dent coincides with the other side of the trademark. Quite often that's what it is.

But as to the vintage of this one, I'm leaning towards the 1954 trademark, although I'm not absolutey shure. I going to have to revisit the differences between the early 1960's and the 1954, which are very subtle. Fortunately I have cymbals from both eras to study here.

That hammer mark is near the trademark..but not in back of it..and it seems to be 2 hammermarks together..kind of joined as one..
The trademark is so lightly stamped in any case..that there is no impression on the back of the cymbal at all..
Maybe this cymbal was a prototype or a one off..as it differs from the hollow stamp and the trans stamp like nite and day..this thing looks like it was totally hand hammered..but the other 2 chinas..look more evenly lathed than deeply hammered..
