Default Gretsch 12" Walnut Stop Sign Tom

I recently picked up a 12" Gretsch Stop Sign Tom in walnut finish. I'm not a "Gretsch guy" per se and don't currently own any Gretsch kits or orphans (other than this piece). Several of my friends seem to believe that a vintage 12" Gretsch tom is more valued (and rarer?) than the 13", due to its use with BOP kits. Any "words of wisdom" regarding this issue would be greatly appreciated. I'm more than likely going to move this one and am simply trying to determine a "reasonable" asking price.

THANKS in advance for your time and your help!

these drums don't come up for sale as often as other brands so it's difficult to find comparables.
I would be very interested in that drum if you decide to let it go. Check out my Salvation Army SSB kit in the gallery.

It does appear to be true that the 12" drums go for more than the 13". The only experience I have with a 12" SSB tom was when I was putting my WMP kit together a couple of years ago. I paid about $150 for the 13, and a little more than double that for the 12, but it was in pristine condition in its original WMP wrap. It seems the wrapped drums command more, depending on condition of course. I hope this is somewhat helpful. Please let me know when you decide on a number. I would love to try to make a deal for that drum. Thanks for posting it today!

Does that tom have a stock tom mount?

It's the identical mount that I've seen on all the other 70s Gretsch toms that I've viewed.

Looks to be a consolette judging by the mounts in the 4th picture. No monster mount ball and socket visible....
