The "P" means that the shell is assigned to be wrapped (any wrap...classic pearl, sparkle pearl etc.) The "M" means that the shell will be stained, painted, laquered etc.

I finally bought it! It's arrived today. It has a old ambassador head that I have to change. I played with it a bit and it sounds good! I have to clean it and to change the head and maybe also the snare which seems a bit old!

They didnt stamp the drums with 'S' when it was going to be a sparkle wrap as far as i know. 'P' was the designation for any drum that wasnt going to be a painted or laquered finish.
