Default Can anyone ID these toms?

I just found this forum while searching the internet trying to ID a pair of toms that I have. I got these from a friend of mine years ago, and have no idea what they are. The lugs and mounting system looks similar to early to mid sixties Slingerland, but I don't think they are. The strange thing is if you look closely the top and bottom lugs are different. They're a 12"x8" and a 13"x9". They've been sitting around for a while, so please excuse the dirt. Just curious if anyone has any idea what they are. Thanks!

That's what I thought, but wasn't sure. Any idea what they might be? Should this thread be moved to the non-usa drum forum?

Haha! I never noticed that the mount was stamped "Made in Japan" until I just looked at these pics again. I guess I should have posted it in the other forum.

I just stumbled upon a thread on another forum, and it looks like they were sold under the name "Gambles". Does anyone know anything about them? I've never heard of them. Here are the pics from the other thread.

They look like late 60s Pearl drums to me. I restored this kit and the finish is called Tigers eye.

Yeah - that is made by Pearl and is typically badged as a Whitehall. The full name is Tiger's Eye Pearl and is AKA as Root Beer Swirl. There are many members here with these. Some came with the thicker shells, like yours - and that dates it to be late 60s early 70s. Both Pearl and Star (Tama before the name change) went to the thicker shells around 67 or 68 - so yours is that age or newer.
