Here's a few pretty ordinary pics. Apologies for the poor quality. I didn't take a lot, but these were some kits I thought I'd like to see again.

- 60s Camco in 3D Moire. 18" BD

- '64 Ludwig 13/16/20 in oyster blue

- A beautiful Craviotto set

- 50s/60s Dandy and Drouyn

There's a nice Gretsch in there as well in (I think) Champagne Sparkle, but I'll go with the experts on the wrap...

The Expo itself was pretty damn good. Mostly custom drums and a lot of names I didn't recognise - Pansini, for one - but there were some beautiful old kits.

When I first walked into the Factory Theatre grounds there was a small market area selling sticks and pads and stuff, as well as coffee and beer, but in a small marquee down near the entrance into the Expo itself were sitting stacked next to each other, a 70s clear Ludwig Vistalite set, a Brass and Black Chicago badge Slingerland kit, another Camco in 3D Moire, but with a 22" BD, and another Luddy kit in white cortex. Not to mention a pile of Acros and Supras of varying ages and depths. All for sale. If I had the money I would've bought the Slingys for $1700... kicking myself now. But there's always next year I guess.

Shame you missed it John, but I understand what you mean!

I was there but only just noticed this thread. Sorry I couldn't have IDed myself. The 3D Moire Camco bop kit is mine.

Really? Which one? The 18" inside or the 22" with the the two 12"s outside? Both were stunning.

The one with the 18" X 12" inside. I also used to own the large maple finish oval Camco badged beast.

Absolutely gorgeous. Did you put the Rogers tom mount on or was it there already? It was the first thing to catch my eye when I walked in. I'm more a Ludwig guy, but that kit is beautiful. Now the sixty four dollar question, do you play it?

Oh, the maple kit is a stunner too, but I'm drawn to the smaller kits...

Thanks for displaying it, by the way. My interest in Camco is growing!

I got the drums already drilled for the Rogers mount but missing the actual hardware. It's not uncommon to see 60s Camcos with Rogers hardware.

And, yes, I play it. It's now my only kit but I have another bass drum (another taxi - 20" X 12") and 16" floor if I need to up the ante.

As a small apartment dweller these days I don't have much choice but kind of like the fact I have self-control imposed on my circumstances. Mind you, have never owned more than three kits at one time so that shows some sort of temperance right there.

Only ever had one Ludwig but it was great...until a Camco came along. That was a long time ago.

Well, it's beautiful. Say no more! Love to hear it sometime. Whereabouts do you play?
