70's slingerland toms where made that way!

It would have been very unusual to pair a 14 with a 15 on a bass drum. But, a 13 and 14 were paired fairly often in the 70s. Think about that as you look at the badge placement and it should become clear why they placed them that way on the 14 and 15.

I just looked at three sets in the catalogs from 1976 that have 14 and 15 inch toms mounted on a stand.

All three are 14 on left, 15 on right with mufflers knobs facing in and badges facing away from the player.

I'm sometimes perspectively challenged, but Pops' setup looks backwards to those setups?
