Call me nuts,... a 4-piece beauty for 1 snare,...

This whole thing happened in a very sad period as my dad passed away 5 days ago. The long and late hours behind the computer, trying to close the deal, was kind of a therapy I guess.

Anyway, thank you guys for all your support and the valuable comments.

Stef,

My condolences on the loss of your father. I hope that you have many fond memories of him and spent lots of time together.

While your new Camco acquisition can't replace your loss, I hope it will offer a smile on your face when you see and play it. BTW, I had emailed Derrick early on, informing him about you and hoping you could work something out. Glad you got the drum!

Take care,

Mark

Stedi..I'm so sorry for your loss, and I hope you associate all the good memories of your dad with this drum and may it put a smile on your face everytime you play it.

I think honoring your dads memory like this,is something he would have wanted.Best of luck.

I for one, am all about escapism, so.

Congratulations on your new snare purchase!
I hear you on, losing the Rogers set, but that Camco is one of the most beautiful set of drums I have seen in a long time. You should be proud to be the caretaker of such a rare and fine historical instrument!

The AC Blue Camco will stay with me for life and this snare will remind me forever of a profound moment in my life.

Sincere thanks for all the heartwarming comments. What a great community this is,...

I will post some pictures of the united drum kit once the snare made it to Belgium.

stedi,
My heart goes out to you as well as your family in this time. So very sorry for your loss. Been there, and understand completely. Would give up all of my drums, for another day in the past....drums are drums, but family is family. Take the best of care.

My sympathy too. Sorry.

p.s. On another note, even though we joke about Dennis Wilson riding the bench in favor of Mr. Blaine, he was smart enough to play a Camco huh?

(another sweet kit I saw on an old Hullaballoo show last week...)
