Re: Heads which are a bit bigger than Remo Classic Fit

Hi Kurt,

thank you for your reply. It's an Apparatebau look-alike, possibly 50s spares from GPL or the likes then assembled by Tromsa or so, original strainer sadly missing. Heavy, all-COB. Shell...

I am currently restoring an old Dresdner Type concert snare drum. It came to me with 60s Premier Everplay Heads that fit so-so. I just put on some new 60s style Remo Classic Fit...

Re: Info on Zildjian Canadian K brilliant finish?

Yes, thank you.
The post left me really confused. Did they really make the first HHs and the Canadian Ks at the same time at the same factory?

Sadly, no brilliant ones in the pictures. ;-) Also...

Re: Info on Zildjian Canadian K brilliant finish?

I don't know, if I am missing the point here, but wouldn't the lower part be about the EAKs , which were made in a different way if I am not mistaken. Also, the "sameness" of canadian Ks and first...

Re: Info on Zildjian Canadian K brilliant finish?

Thanks a lot for all the information :-) I also didn't see that Gretsch leaflet before, so I assume with around 2270g it should be a "crash ride" then as the normal rides I had before were a lot...

Info on Zildjian Canadian K brilliant finish?

Hi,

Re: Sabian Cymbal Timeline

Thanks a lot. I wish I could contribute more, apart from buying and uploading (sadly, non-native speaker :( )

Both are looking like this

Re: Sabian Cymbal Timeline

Hi, I bought a bigger stash of NOS cymbals some weeks ago. Seller said cymbals were bought in 82/83. Looks to me like an Avedis font type. There is only the cymbal type designation on the top, on the...

Thanks for your help, also in the other thread, where I had this cymbal in mind. :-)

Ahh, yes, as said - logo looks legit in close-up if comparing to another outline/hollow logo I am having, so...

Value Paiste Formula 602 Joe Morello Script Logo Cymbals

Re: 1950s Zildjian crash or ride or crash/ride.

Hi all, I wondered in this context how many holes a 50s small stamp factory-riveted avedis would have. All 8 ? And where they would be positioned on the cymbal (rather in the middle?). Thanks a bunch.

Re: mysterious muffler inside Sonor(?) Pancake

Hi Oddball,

thank you for your reply.
The hardware (missing on the photos) is what you would expect from a mid 60s Sonor Pancake, so it would not add any information to the puzzle. I know about...

The black parts are...
