My mid 50's slingy's have three toms...13 X 9, 14 X 14, and 20 X 20. Is there any way to deepen the tone on the toms?

Lugs For Slingerland Chrome Shells

Are the lugs for the Slingerland chrome shells identical to the lugs used on the wood shells? Do the lugs use the same screw sizes? Do both kinds of lugs extend into the hole of the shell?

20 inch Slingy bass drum hoops

Thank you for the post. I had not thought of hide glue. What do you layer over the calf skin under or over the crack to keep the crack from getting larger? I have heard of using cat gut and stitching...
