Re: Cool little Japanese outfit

No need to be so harsh, especially here in the Non USA forum. Many of us that hang out here play MIJs and are pretty happy with them. Of course they weren't built as well as the big American brands,...

Re: Cool little Japanese outfit

Nice looking kit.

The logo on the bass drum res head, " Made in Japan" is the actual brand of these drums. They are one of a hundred different stencil brands, but are likely built by the one of...

Re: The newbie and the 1950ís Slingerland Drum Set

By the way, I'm a 60 year old newbie to drums myself. Played guitar much of my life, because I grew up in an apartment, and of course, drums were to noisy! So our stories are pretty similar!
It's...

Re: The newbie and the 1950ís Slingerland Drum Set

That's a real beauty.

Other guys can point out the details of your kit better than me, but the two- tone finish is called Duco, names after the Dupont paint used on the shells. They are pretty...

Re: UK 70's Aluminium Snare

So if this snare came with a resonant head on it, why can't you use it? Most res heads last like forever. Do you just want to change it, or is there a need to change it?

Re: How much for this Torodor MIJ Kit?

$85 is exactly what the seller of my MIJ charged me for shipping, so I think your good there.

I think your price is good. Somebody will probably go $300 and you can negotiate from there.

Re: How much for this Torodor MIJ Kit?

I'm surprised they didn't sell yet. Condition wise, they should have sold themselves. Good strategy putting them high on Reverb, someone is bound to jump on them there.

Re: How much for this Torodor MIJ Kit?

My MIJ 20" kick sounds rock solid and has a big sound. Probably the best sounding drum on my kit!

Personally, I wouldn't go below $350. Those drums are worth it. Hold out if you...
