Re: Latest Score: Stewarts In Orange/Gold

Please keep us updated on this if you do it.

I'm sure a lot of MIJ drummers would like to know if it makes a difference on this wood. I'm guessing it would help this soft wood deflect some of the...

Re: Acquarian hi- frequency

They say it can also be used as a "lightweight batter for sensitive playing", which I guess would mean, no death metal please! :D

So I agree with "whatarethese123" above, Aquarian is just covering...

Re: Latest Score: Stewarts In Orange/Gold

So it sounds like you have a pretty decent kit to gig with, and looks-wise, it's pretty hot looking. Getting the right drumheads to get the right sound is something you would have to do with most...

Re: First post: Ludwig on Craigslist - Rocker?

Agreed.

I hate to give lazy sellers there asking price, and for sure, this is a lazy seller! His lack of effort will probably keep interest low.

But if you really don't want the drums, maybe...

Re: Star Drums

The logo's are on eBay. Just look up "bass drum logo star" and you'll find a few different styles.

The badges are more hit or miss
They come up, but they're not there all the time.

Re: Latest Score: Stewarts In Orange/Gold

Hey Bob, did you ever wind up gigging with this kit?

If you did, maybe you can give us a little review on them. I'm interested to know how these MIJs perform on stage. Thanks.

Re: Drum Poll....Kits looks good, bad?????

With 11 kits, you needed something different to keep things interesting.

I'm sure your going to get a variety of comments from your YouTube video! Good luck!

Re: A New Addition

Yeah, that's the one.

I took a shot and asked if he would break up the kit, and he had no problem doing that. This is the same guy forum member, johnnyringo, made a deal or two with I believe.

More cheap fun with my Norma kit.

I've been looking to add a floor tom to my Norma for awhile now, and I found an exact match. Well, in all honesty, it's not a Norma, but a Vibra, although it...

Re: Crest Jazz set

Honestly, this seller did a great job and I think that's why he got his price.

He provided good communication with everyone, he cleaned them up really well, put out plenty of high quality...

Re: Acoustic Wall Tiles

Yes, the high frequencies is what I'm looking to soften-up, so I might try them.

As far as the egg carton idea, well, I'm a married man, and let's just say I'd likely come home one day and find my...

Re: Acoustic Wall Tiles

Yeah, I can picture that! Lol

Nobody seemed to have much money BITD, so yeah, we used our imaginations and came up with a bunch of cool, but rather ugly, ideas! Egg cartons would definitely make...

Acoustic Wall Tiles

So I play my kit in the corner of my basement, like so many of us. Both walls behind my throne are sheetrock. I was thinking of throwing up some acoustic tiles to soften up the sound. Not the whole...

Re: Burswood Drums

I haven't heard of them, but from what I'm seeing, they are pretty cheap drums. The shells I can see look like MIJ shells with vertical Phillipino Mahogany.

Somebody on another forum said his...

Re: "Best" Sounding Heads For MIJ Kits

Another follow-up post.

After being convinced that the Calftone heads were perfect and put them on all my drums, I've run into a problem with my floor tom drumhead. The sound just went flat. Like...

Re: 60's Stewart MIJ Gold Sparkle

That orange sparkle finish is a real standout! With new drumheads, she'll sound as good as she looks. Should be a hit on the gig trail!

(umm, don't buy Calftones!) But you already knew that! :D
